New and Interesting
We've completed the version 0.7 of the ByteArmor offsite backup service. New features include AES encryption of all backup client communication with ByteArmor servers and search features on the file management pages. We are planning to make a full release early in Q4, and to offer free trial accounts to the service. Google Maps Powered Driving Distance Calculator.

A free implementation of Google Maps API with a twist. Designed for mobile phone usage this service executes all Javascript on the server side and injects the resulting html back into the response post. The service features text based emailing of directions, ZIP code lookup, city lookup, and direction reversal. Try it here.


> JBCG Completes Danger Theme Helper v1.0

We recently completed the first version of our Danger Theme Helper. The software is designed to speed up the packaging and testing of Danger theme content. With this tool you can quickly generate simple theme test packages, simple theme submission packages, advanced theme test packages, and advanced theme submission packages. Features include automatic detection of incorrect image dimensions, automatic detection of package size violations, automatic optimization of all png output.

> JBCG Submits DoodleBot v1.0 for the SideKick Slide and LX

We recently submited an art program for the SideKick Slide and the SideKick LX which allows users to create patterned doodles on their phone using over 250 different tiles. Users can rotate tiles and change their colors as they create their own unique image. Once completed doodles can be saved to the phone's datastore, saved to the SD card, or emailed as an attached JPG image.
> JBCG Submits ExcelViewer v1.5 and WebPass Pro v1.1, v1.3

We recently submitted updated version of ExcelViewer and WebPass Pro for the SideKick LX. We've also completed a version of WebPass Pro for the SideKick 3,ID.
> Bug found in WebPass Pro 1.7 for .Net 1.1

A bug preventing users with no imported profiles to load their personal dat file has been corrected in WebPass Pro v1.7 for .net 1.1. The latest version of the software can be found here at jbcg.net. We are in the process of updating the software on other sites.
> JBCG Sets up a Driving Distance Calculator

FREE for public use is the driving distance calculator. Using Google Maps© technology we have provided a very simple webpage which can optionally return a map view of driving directions from two address locations. It can also optionally return the directions to take and a clean distance in miles, in which case only the distance value is returned form the web server. This was designed so that anyone can programmatically access the page and get the driving distance calculation without any parsing of HTML or XML. The driving distance calculator can be accessed from here.
> JBCG Begins Creation of the 'WebVault' Service

JBCG is proud to announce that alpha production of our WebVault file encryption/backup/versioning service has begun. The 'WebVault' is a web based service that allows user to upload file onto a remote server where they will be compressed and encrypted using AES 256 bit encryption. Files are categorized by entension and multiple versions of the same file are kept. Users will have the ability to manage their files, share file with other 'WebVault' users and create user/group relationships. They will also be able to 'publish' file to anyone with an email address in which case the target file is available for download by the target user for a specified period of time. Future releases of the software may included FTP automation for uplaoded files.
> ZipBot Mobile Publication Begins

ZipBot Mobile is out of testing and has begun the publication process on download.com. The e-commerce site will be available shortly.
> JBCG Completes VisioConverter Application

We're proud to announce the completion of a VisioConverter application. This software converts logical trees that are designed visually in visio and converts them to a flat data format for import into a database structure. The visual creation of these logic trees is a great asset in creating and QA-ing the logic but impedes data imports. With this new VisioConverter software we were able to QA,Convert, and compress data represented in Visio and prepare them for database importation.
> ZibBot Mobile 1.0 Now in Development

A mobile version of ZipBot is in development and is targeted to the Pocket PC platform with devices running Windows Mobile 2003 or Windows Mobile 5. Designed to be quick and easy to use ZipBot Mobile will make mobile file compression a breeze.
> ZibBot 1.0 Now Available

ZipBot 1.0, a quick, easy to use compression utility gauraunteed to to make compressing and uncompressing files take less steps has been published on download.com and softpedia.com and is available for trial/purchase on our website.
> JBCG is Proud to Announce ZibBot 1.0

ZibBot 1.0 is out of beta development and into testing. A very simple Compression/Decompression program designed to be used by end user's who are not that computer savvy. ZipBot provides users with a simple drag and drop interface and/or shell context menus. Also ZibBot removes the need to traverse the file system to choose source and or destination directories or files. Instead all zipping/unzipping is done using the desktop as the destination dir so archives are easy to find.
> JBCG Completes ClipExpander 1.0

A simple but powerful tool ClipExpander v1.0 allows users to store clipboard information in four extra memory slots from any application. Users can store data from the clip board in a specific slot using Ctrl + 1, Ctrl + 2, Ctrl + 3, Ctrl + 4. Similarly users can restore data back to the clip board using Alt + 1, Alt + 2, Alt + 3, Alt + 4.
> JBCG Completes the Java ExcelReader API

Based on the same API used to read excel files for the SideKick 3 JBCG has created a Java library for parsing and formatting the contents of excel files. Targeted use is for Java web applications that need to parse excel files quickly and with a very small memory footprint. We also envision it's possible use in Java desktop applications that require importing data from excel files. The application is completely stand alone and does not require any other software except a working java environment. Look for it on our website soon.
> JBCG SideKick 3 Excel Viewer Publishing Soon

Our SideKick 3 Excel Viewer has been completed and is currently in second round QA tests. We expect the application to complete QA and enter the publishing phase soon.
> JBCG Completes Stable Version of SideKick 3 Excel Viewer

A stable excel viewer for the SideKick 3 has been completed. The new build supports reading Office 95-97, 2000, 2003, and Office XP excel spreadsheets with limited support for features that the device hardware cannot support. This marks the end of the excel reading phase and the beginning of the cell formatting phase of development.
> JBCG Releases WebPass Pro 1.7

WebPass Pro version 1.7 is now available for both the pc and the pocket pc. Version 1.7 supports new features like password cycling, useful for passwords that expire, and a force complexity check box. WebPass Pro is a great tool for generating unique, secure passwords for use on the internet, never loose a pssword again, never write another password down.
> JBCG Releases 'The Vault' 2.0

The Vault 2.0 is now available for download free of charge. The software offers users AES file encryption, file versioning by date modified, and compression to organize and store their data. Version 2.0 boasts a 'file explorer' like interface for viewing the file repository, enhanced user control of the file repository, and greater control over the files being processed by the file being processed by the application.
> Plans for 'The Vault' 2.0 have been made

Plans to modify and improve 'The Vault' 1.0, a personal file versioning and encryption program, have been made. The plans include an emphasis on ease of use, greater control over the file repository, easier browsing of the file repository, stronger encryption, and more reliable file compression.
> JBCG Contracted by Prospect Transportation Inc.

JBCG has been contracted to build a ticker system allowing users to view traffic notification emails through a desktop window. Notifications are constantly be updated as they scroll vertically through a ticker viewer. A windows service takes care of pulling new notifications from an email account.
> JBCG Releases 'The Vault' 1.0

The Vault 1.0 is now available for download free of charge. The software offers users file encryption, versioning, to keep track of different versions of a file, and many security layers to ensure that files added to The Vault remain secure.
> JBCG Prepares WebPass Pro 1.1.22 for Free Release

WebPass Pro 1.1.22 dubbed PE (Personal Edition) is in the last stages of testing for public release. Version 1.1.22 supports multiple users, the DAT file has added protection to allow only the user who created it to use it for password generation. Loading and unloading the application has been streamlined with threaded encryption/decryption. And finally DAT file creation has been streamlined making it much quicker.
> DomainPass Pro Trial Receives Softpedia.com Certification

DomainPass Pro 1.1.20 trial has received certification from softpedia.com ensuring that it has NO addware, spyware, or viruses.
> JBCG Defines Project Goals for "The Vault"

Project goals have been outlined for "The Vault" a personal file security program. The program will provide users with the ability to automatically encrypt files, organize files by extension, and maintain version tracking through a drag and drop interface to a standard Windows GUI.
> JBCG Submits DomainPass Pro Trial to Download.com

DomainPass Pro 1.1.20 is an enhanced GINA for windows and a GUI interface for creating encrypted security keys. The full version of the software supports login profile for multiple domains with multiple usernames and multiple hardware profiles for each username. DomainPass Pro

> JBCG Completes Access Database Program for the Union County Sheriff's Office

JBCG has completed a volunteer project for the Union County Sheriff's office. The access database application allows users to insert, update, and search records pertaining to crimes commited in the Union County area. The software has been donated and was created by volunteers on their own time.

JBCG has been contracted to work with Trinity Ventures developing and supporting registration forms for online event registrations.

JBCG has released WebPass Pro 1.1.20 for the SideKick II to the development community via SKDR. WebPass Pro Is a password generation program that allows user's to ccreate a password profile and generate complex passwords for use on the web. > JBCG Releases Spreadsheet for SideKick II

JBCG has released Spreadsheet to the SideKick development comunity via SKDR. Spreadsheet allows SideKick users to download excel spreadsheets from a URL and view them on their sidekick. It also enables users to email spreadsheets as attachments and send them to other sidekick users who have Spreadsheet.
> JBCG Contracted by the Seward Park High School Alumni Association

JBCG has begun work on the website for the Alumni Association of Seward Park High School in Manhatten. The school first opened its doors in 1905, and is the proud alma mater of Walter Mathau, Tony Curtis, Jerry Stiller, Julius Axelrod, Keenan Ivory Wayans and many others!
