| DomainPass Pro v1.1.22 |
|
|
DomainPass Pro is a combination of three programs. Included is a custom GINA, a GUI editor for building
secure USB flash keys, and a trial version of WebPass Pro. Based on WebPass Pro technology DomainPass Pro
enables users to prevent anyone from initiating a logon attempt without a specific encrypted file on their
USB flash drive.
|
|
The full version of DomainPass Pro supports four different key verification modes. The first mode is 'Dongle' mode.
A key containing a matching hardware profile or the target computer is needed to initiate a logon. The second mode is 'Verfification'
mode. This mode checks the username, domain, and hardware profile associations setup on the USB flash drive for a match to the target
computer. Mode three and four automatically log the user onto the system generating a password based on the WebPass Pro profile and
optionally incorporating a pin number. The different modes offer a range of security enhancement, and the software supports multiple
domain, username, hardware associations so one key can be used for many different computers.

Mode Descriptions
- Mode 1 ‘Dongle Mode’:
A USB key with and encrypted DomainPass Pro DAT file must be present on a USB flash drive. The DAT file must contain a hardware profile that matches the computer in order for the login to succeed.
- Mode 2 ‘Verification Mode’:
A USB key with and encrypted DomainPass Pro DAT file must be present on a USB flash drive. The DAT file must contain a hardware profile that matches the computer in order for the login to succeed. The hardware profile must be entered under a matching username and a matching domain as those used by the login attempt.
- Mode 3 ‘Key Mode’:
A USB key with and encrypted DomainPass Pro DAT file must be present on a USB flash drive. The DAT file must contain a hardware profile that matches the computer in order for the login to succeed. The user will be prompted for a username and a domain. The username and domain are used in conjunction with the WebPass Pro password profile stored on your USB key to generate a password. This password must be configured as you login password for that user on the system. The login will be passed through to windows logon.
- Mode 4 ‘Key Mode with PIN’:
Works exactly like mode 3 except it requires a pin number from the user that is used in the authentication process.
